Nothing. Edgard Bladewood is not a name the current party knows. Roland believes his father was a paladin named "Edgard" but has no surname and limited details. The full name, the Lifting Spirits connection, and the Prismeer location are all GM-only information.

History

The Lifting Spirits Campaign (1497–1500 DR)

Edgard Bladewood was a paladin who fought with the Lifting Spirits party — the adventurers based out of Trollskull Manor in Waterdeep whose primary arc was the redemption of Zariel, the fallen angel ruling Avernus.

His party included:

• Alek Pressalor (now known as Caladorn) — half-elf abjuration wizard, former City Watch; the tactical and arcane backbone of the group
• Victoria Cassalanter — the Black Viper, Waterdeep noblewoman with Asmodean family ties; became an Erinyes through her infernal entanglements during the campaign and was later restored to human by Ruxfauco's Deck of Many Things
• Ruxfauco — bearer of the Deck of Many Things; held unrequited feelings for Edgard throughout the campaign

The Lifting Spirits operated across Waterdeep and into the planes. Their Avernus arc was the campaign's centrepiece: working toward Zariel's redemption while navigating the politics of the Nine Hells. Lolth assisted with Zariel's redemption as part of a deal she had brokered — and used the chaos of the moment to escape Avernus. The party also carried Artemis Entreri's soul coin during this period; Entreri obtained River Styx water on that same Avernus expedition and held it for years before eventually using it to poison Othorion.

Edgard wielded one of Zariel's own swords during the campaign — a weapon of celestial power, a mark of trust from Zariel that went beyond the professional. He was considered a worthy wielder of celestial power, and willing to make great sacrifice.

The Battle Against the Creeping Doom

Edgard was present at the battle against the Creeping Doom — the final climactic conflict of the Lifting Spirits arc. He fought. He survived the battle itself.

After the battle, he was taken by Sibriex — Mother Night
