Toblin Stonehill

The innkeeper of the Stonehill Inn, Phandalin's primary establishment for lodging and food. Toblin ran the inn alongside his wife Trilena, and their daughter Pip Stonehill grew up among its patrons and gossip. He was a steady, reliable presence throughout the party's time in the region.

History with the Party

The party first arrived at the Stonehill Inn in Session A01 and found Toblin present and welcoming. Throughout Arc A, the inn became their de facto base of operations in Phandalin — a safe place to rest, gather information through Pip's intelligence network, and coordinate their plans.

The Gift and Permission

Before the party left Phandalin for Neverwinter, Toblin and Trilena gave Pip permission to travel with the party under agreed conditions. Toblin presented his daughter with a crossbow as a gift — a practical token that acknowledged both her maturation and the dangers ahead.

The Frost Giant Attack — Session A20

When the frost giants attacked Phandalin, Toblin did not hide or retreat. He placed himself directly in front of the threat when Pip charged a frost giant with a stick she called the Sword of Legends. Alongside Alger Frakk, Maza Fieldsalder, and Halia Thornton, he worked to save his daughter from being crushed, demonstrating both his love for Pip and his willingness to face danger for his town's survival.

A Consistent Anchor

Throughout Arc A, Toblin remained a background presence — the innkeeper always there when the party returned to town, the parent waiting for his daughter, the observer of Phandalin's transformations. His steady presence and genuine care for his community made him one of the more grounded figures in the town.
