Order of the Gauntlet

"Swift justice. Vigilant against evil. No compromise."

The Order of the Gauntlet is a fellowship of paladins, clerics, and monks committed to the active defeat of evil — not merely its containment. Where the Harpers observe and the Lords' Alliance negotiates, the Order strikes. They believe in proactive confrontation of monsters, cults, and undead, with a particular focus on enforcement of divine law.

They are generally trustworthy allies — but inflexible. They do not negotiate with evil, and they do not always ask questions before swinging.

Daran Edermath

Daran Edermath, the half-elf orchardist of Phandalin, is a retired member of the Order of the Gauntlet. He fought with them for years before settling in Phandalin in his old age. He remains connected to the Order's mission and can serve as a contact or source of information on undead, cultists, and known threats in the region.

He was encountered by the party outside Tresendar Manor after the Redbrand hideout was cleared.
