The Lords' Alliance is a loose coalition of rulers from the major cities and towns of the Sword Coast, united by a shared interest in mutual security, trade, and the defeat of common threats. Individually, their member cities compete fiercely. Together, they maintain a network of agents and soldiers committed to stability.
Alliance agents tend to be pragmatic rather than idealistic — they serve city interests, and city interests are not always the same as justice.
Campaign Connection
Iarno Albrek
Iarno Albrek (Glasstaff) was a former Lords' Alliance agent who went rogue and established himself as the leader of the Redbrands in Phandalin. His original mission — why the Alliance sent him to Phandalin — has never been clarified. Whether the Alliance knew he had gone rogue before the party captured him is unknown.
Sildar Hallwinter
Sildar Hallwinter, who traveled to Phandalin with Gundren Rockseeker and was rescued by the party, is a Lords' Alliance member. He sought to establish order in Phandalin and find Iarno Albrek — his own mission from the Alliance.
